Compare the Nissan Pathfinderto the Honda Pilot and the Ford Explorer

At Ciocca Nissan of Quakertown, we know you have options when shopping around for a new three-row SUV that can fit the entire family and all of their gear. SUVs grow in popularity every year, with a lot of options to weigh and possibilities to consider. But our Nissan Pathfinder not only has more room to stretch out in than the competition, it also has more of what drivers are looking for.

To illustrate what sets our eight-passenger SUV apart from the competition, we've done a little research for you. Read on to learn more about how the Pathfinder comes out ahead when compared side by side to both the Honda Pilot and the Ford Explorer.

Nissan Pathfinder vs. Honda Pilot

While both of these SUVs have three rows of seating standard and accommodations for either seven or eight people, depending on the configuration you choose, the Pathfinder offers more interior space and higher levels of comfort than the Pilot. For example, the Nissan SUV has more legroom and headroom to keep even your tallest passengers happy, especially in the front seat. Whether you choose the standard, eight-passenger configuration, or the optional seven-passenger style with captain's chairs as the second row, all three rows of the Pathfinder are comfortable and easy to ride in.

Have a camper or small boat to tow along with you on weekend family adventures? Consider the Nissan Pathfinder over the Honda Pilot. Both are equipped with a capable 3.5-liter V6 engine. But the Pathfinder has a little more power and towing ability than the Pilot. Not only does it manage a higher horsepower rating, but the Pathfinder also has an optional tow-prep kit that can elevate the model's towing capacity to 6,000 pounds. The Pilot, on the other hand, can tow smaller, lighter loads, with a top capacity of just 3 to 5,000 pounds.

Nissan Pathfinder vs. Ford Explorer

Similar to the Honda Pilot comparison before this, the Ford Explorer also pales in comparison to the Nissan Pathfinder when it comes to passenger space. The Pathfinder is the leader in its class for interior space and comfort, with more front headroom and more front legroom than the Explorer. Additionally, as with the Pilot comparison, the Pathfinder also has a more useful and higher tow rating than the Ford Explorer. While the Ford tops out at just 5,000 pounds, the Nissan can help you manage up to 6,000 pounds.

Another area where you'll find more of what you're looking for with the Pathfinder is features. Nissan equips this model with a long list of standard amenities which come on every trim, with more features available as you explore other features. But standard or optional, you'll get more of what you want with our Nissan SUV than the Explorer. For example, the Pathfinder has standard keyless entry and ignition, while the Explorer only makes it available on upper trims. Plus, the Pathfinder has many safety features, such as lane departure warning, standard, while the Explorer has fewer of the advanced safety features drivers appreciate.
